So sure my team sucks but how does a guy with a career .340 OBP and a .350 OBP last season (2013), have a sub-.290 OBP in this league?
What gives??

Reyes has a .252 BABIP and Kipnis has a .349 BABIP. Some guys get lucky and some guys don't. Isn't that baseball?
In MLB, Altuve has a .363 BABIP and everyone says it's an amazing year. A year ago it was an ordinary .316 and he was...ordinary. He's cut down on K's a bit, but it's not like he's hitting way more line drives than normal or hitting more ground balls or hitting fewer popups. In fact, none of those things, but his BABIP went up 60 points, because of luck.

Seems like luck may play too big a part in the sim then, if that's the case. Consistently good hitters in the majors shouldn't fluxuate to this extreme in a sim that, in theory, is supposed to be based on real life statistics.
Just looking at Reyes real life carer, and ignoring the first two partial years and his first year as a starter, he's never had an OBP lower than .321 in nearly 10 seasons, yet in season 2 of the sim league he has what would be his worst ever season of his life. Sorry but even with better pitching that's simply not an accurate reflection of the player - and maybe the luck factor needs adjusted.
