Something I haven't thought about (very NL-minded), is the specifics about the DH. I'm watching the Cardinals game tonight, and Yadier Molina is starting at 1B. This is driving me nuts, but what's interesting is what an announcer said next:
"Molina's at 1B, because we can't risk him at DH. If Tony Cruz (catcher) goes down, we'd lose the DH"
This got me thinking...is he implying that if Yadi was playing DH, and Cruz was playing catcher, if Cruz got injured and Yadi took over at catcher, that Lynn (the starting pitcher) will be forced to bat in the DH spot?
-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Going one step further, does that imply that in our dynasty league, that any player that is playing DH, can't be switched into another position?

Yes, that's the rule, and yes, that's what it means for Dynasty, since I have nothing for pitcher's hitting.

I understand the thought process (which I hear pretty often), but in a real world example, it's really only a big issue if the catcher goes down early in the game. If he goes down late in the game, you'd likely opt to just pinch hit for the pitcher.
Worst case scenario is probably that Lynn has two ABs - and there's probably less than a 5% chance of that? Balance that against the added benefit of having Yadi sit on his ass instead of playing first base (hell, there's even the chance he'd get hurt playing 1B, so you have to throw that onto that side of the scale).
It'd be interesting to see teams roll the dice a bit more on this. Of course, they'd catch flak on the rare chance that Cruz gets hurt in the 1st inning and they wouldn't get credit for the other games where Yadi was able to rest his knees.
